Highbridge Hill Elementary School
January 2023 Husky Howl
As a newcomer to all things Holiday at HHES, I was absolutely blown away by the amazing events that were held throughout the month of December. The amount of time, energy and love that our families, staff and students put into making such events as the concert, art show, bazaar, tree lighting, come together was just a true testament to how unique this community is. I am honored to have been given the ability to enjoy and share in these events with you all. Thank you.
Thank you for all of the generous donations of gifts for children. HHES collected over 200 gifts that helped fill Santa’s sleigh.
Bus Notes
If your child is taking a different bus home, getting off at a different stop or other changes in their daily routine please provide a note with the following details:
Date
First & Last Name of Child
Classroom Teacher
Bus #
Stop getting off at
Contact number for family in case more details are needed
With over 400 student dismissals in an afternoon, it is important that notes have as much detail as possible. Often by the time a student tells a teacher or office staff about a change of dismissal some of the details have been jumbled up and so a detailed note is needed! Thank you!

In the case of inclement weather, families will be notified via automatic telephone calls, as well as via the district website and local radio and news stations. In the event of a delay, HHES start time will be 10:45 AM, and there would be no AM kindergarten. Morning bus stops would all be 2 hours later than typically scheduled.
Sledding is a wonderful recess activity that is kindly supervised by Mrs. Wilkinson. In order to make sure all classes have equal opportunity to sled Mrs. Wilkinson provides the teachers with a weekly schedule. Depending on the week and the weather the schedule may change.
Snow gear is required for students to play in the snow or go sledding. Students need to have the following equipment to play in the snow or go sledding. Don't forget to label as much as possible, especially those easily lost items like gloves and hats!
Gloves
Hat
Jacket
Snow Pants
Snow Boots
Cold weather brings colds! If your child is not feeling well please keep them home until you are able to speak with Nurse Zina, our school nurse, who can provide you with more important information about when a student is able to return to school.
Husky Hut is open Thursdays and Fridays. Kindergarten. First, Readiness and Second attend Husky Hut on Thursdays, Third and Fourth on Fridays.
