Federal grants to school districts through Title I, Part A, provide opportunities for eligible students to acquire the knowledge and skills needed to meet state proficiency standards.

This goal is accomplished in two ways:

• By providing students supplemental support through accelerated education programs and;

• By providing instructional staffing in participating schools with opportunities for professional development.

Parental involvement is a large part of the Title I program.

Title I Schools The following Mascenic School District Schools are Targeted Assistance schools, in which students are eligible for reading and math services based on academic need:
