The 2024 fall running club season has come to an end with 666.8 miles accumulated between 85 participants! This mileage could take them all the way to a nice vacation at the Outer Banks in North Carolina!
This season brought out a little friendly competition for some and for others brought determination to beat their mileage from the previous season. We are so proud of these kids for not only getting to school earlier to add some extra movement to the beginning of their day but also for encouraging each other to keep going forward to get that extra lap.
Congratulations to our “Most Mile” award winners this season:
4th Grade: Nicholas Laponius (15.5 miles) and Kiley Hill (9.2 miles)
3rd Grade: Isaac Brooks (14.2 miles) and Emma Heaphy (14 miles)
2nd Grade: Henry Heaphy (14.4 miles) and Lily Martin (12.8 miles)
1st Grade: Henry Fouts (11.2 miles) and 1st Grade Girl (12.4 miles)
Kindergarten: Sawyer Schoff (10 mile) and Kindergarten Girl (10.6 miles)
As always, thank you to all of the parent volunteers who monitored the field corners, handed out and took back popsicle sticks, and did laps around the field with the kids. We appreciate you!!!
