Owl

This week Animal Adventures, a family zoo and rescue center based in Bolton, MA, spent two days with the HHES students. Becca and Lauren brought several animals with them and in many cases the students were allowed to pet those animals. These young ladies were very knowledgeable about these animals and their love of the animals was evident. They brought a magnificent owl, which couldn't be petted, but the children were allowed to walk by him to see him close up. There was a chinchilla which has the second softest fur of any animal and the students were able to touch this animal. A snapping turtle; No Touching! There was a ferret, a snake, a crocodile, a fox, a monkey and a very pretty skunk (light coloring; not black). The children loved the presentation and had quite a few questions for the young ladies which they answered patiently.

We want to thank Animal Adventures for providing a unique opportunity for our students to get up close to these animals as well as listen to interesting facts about each of them. Animal Adventures is located in Bolton, MA and are open year-round. Many of their animals are 'rescues' either orphaned, unwanted, or neglected or abused.
