On Thursday, April 5, the School Counseling Center brought 24 students to Nashua Community College for Career Discovery Day. Career Discovery Day was designed to attract all high school students who are exploring career options regardless of college goals.
Our students attended three fifty-minute sessions of their choice. Students were able to select from one area of study or spread their choices among many categories, including Arts and Humanities, Business, Health Sciences & Services, Hospitality & Culinary, Industry & Transportation, Social, Educational & Behavioral Sciences, and STEM & Advanced Manufacturing. Career professionals offered insights into the nature of their jobs.
Whether the students were looking for a two-year degree or a four-year degree, this career seminar was stimulating and informative.
