As always the HHES PTA has made this year's Bazaar hugely successful. There is a great deal of work that goes on behind the scenes for this special day and we want to Thank all the people who helped prepare for this event and came the day of to volunteer to man tables and wrap presents. The children love this day to be able to shop for family members at affordable prices. It is quite a sight to see! The table include bake goods; Christmas table; hand made items; pet presents; toy table; gift table; decorative greens and a candy table. The students also make a craft for the Bazaar. Everyone enjoys this day of helping and shopping. Thanks again to all the Volunteers!!!
We reached our goal of 200 (Actually 240****) toys and will be delivering them to the St. Vincent DePaul Society for distribution to the children in our community. Thanks to everyone who donated. You've made a child's Christmas brighter!!!
My! My! My! What fantastic concerts. What impressive performances from the HHES students. BRAVO!! Huge Thank You's to Mrs. James, the Music Teacher. Ms. Friedberg also did a fabulous job organizing the Art Show portion of the evenings. Just like the musical performances, the art work completed by the students was awesome. The set design/set up was done by Deb and Steve Thompson. We are most grateful for the help. The Polar Express came alive under their skilled supervision. A shout out to all the teachers who gave up their evenings to participate and parents and families for joining us for this celebration. Not sure how we will top this next year, but people were already buzzing about it. Thanks to all involved in making this performance such a huge success. I can't think of a better way to begin the holiday season. Enjoy the picture from the concerts.
Mrs. Vaudreuil's Fourth Grade Reading Buddies visited Mrs. Dwyer's Kindergarten class and presented a Thanksgiving Alphabet Skit. The 4th grade students wrote Thanksgiving facts using every letter of the alphabet and read them to the Kindergarten students.
After the skit, the 4th graders sat with their Kindergarten buddies and shared a Thanksgiving feast which was comprised of popcorn, home made pumpkin bread with churned butter and fruit salad.
