On Sunday, September  24, 2017, twenty six Highbridge Hill Elementary students who participate in the before school running club, went to Keene, NH and participated in the DeMar Kids Marathon. The students started keeping track of their miles in April and had until September 5th to complete 25 miles. They ran the final 1.2 miles at the race to make it a complete 26.2 miles. This was our biggest group to participate so far and it was a fun morning! The students who participated were:

Jacob and Reino Crawford, Donovan Griffis, Kayleigh and Myah Jenkins, Ella and Jackson Keating, Grady Krook, Eli Mack, Olivia O’Connor, David Parmenter, Evelynn, Finnian and Lorelai Shippee, Madison Smith, Alayna, Gavin and Landon Scott, Logan, Luke and Ryan Teague, Kalden Vaillancourt, Corbin and Deviny Viglione and Faith Wooster.

Wow! What a turnout!  It is always great to see the enthusiasm of friends and family who come to our Open House. We love to share with the school community.  The PTA was a hot spot as they were providing lemonade and cookies.  The teachers welcomed almost 90% of their students and families.  Thank you to the New Ipswich Police for joining us for fingerprinting for volunteers and thank you also to Mrs. Sirois for volunteering her time to notarize the forms. Thank you all for coming.

HHES Building Goals for 2017

The HHES school community continues its mantra of reinforcing good behavior.  During the last half of the year, classes were provided with a wire wreath and each time someone was spotted doing something kind, a ribbon was tied to the wreath.  The wreaths were displayed in the front entry way of HHES.

During the school year each grade level nominates two students to be the Student of the Month.  They make posters with an acronym of the student's name with their best qualities and post in the grade level pod.  At the end of the year, Mrs. Saari presents those students with a medal to acknowledge this achievement.  Congratulations to all!
