LIghtning Strikes Twice for BMS Hoopsters!

Sometimes lightening does strike twice in the same place.  It happened at Chester last night at the girls and boys basketball games.

In the first game, the girls ran their record to 9 wins and 2 losses, with a 46-44 win.  Trailing most of the game, the girls overcame an 8 point deficit with 3 minutes to play, leading to a game winning shot by Hannah Z. as time expired to win the game.  Playing without 2 key players, the girls showed amazing effort and refused to give up.  Lead by Brynn R. who played her game of the year, playing every minute and scoring 24 points to lead all scorers.  Hannah played every minute as well and added great all around play and scored 11 points, including the game winner.  Kenzie C. played a great game, playing various positions and added 5 points.

The boys pulled out an amazing victory in game 2 of the night, 58-57.  This game came down to the final seconds, as well with Spencer S. nailing the winning shot with just a few seconds left.

Both teams travel to Epping on Wednesday 1/9/19 for an away game in hopes of keeping the winning ways going.

Amazing job last night by Boynton!

BMS Basketball Teams Continue to Win!

On Thursday (January 3rd) the boys and girls basketball teams continued their winning ways at Great Brook.  The boys ran their undefeated record to 9 wins and 0 losses, with a comfortable double digit win.

The girls ran their record to 8 wins and 2 losses with a 64-24 win.  Lead by starters Brynn R. who scored 16 points and Hannah Z. who added 9 points, the girls received great play off the bench, highlighted by Skye L.'s 10 points and another 6 by Ella P.  Corrine G. and Angelina M. also added 4 points a piece to the victory!

Both teams will play at Chester on Monday 1/7/19

The Mascenic School District recently participated in the nonprofit “Holiday Cards 4 Our Military”. High school counselor, Cathy Proulx and ATP teacher from Boynton, Cassie Simons, coordinated an effort to send Christmas cards to our active duty service members who have connections to our district.

BMS Basketball Teams Continue Winning!

The boys and the girls basketball teams continued their winning ways against the Presentation of Mary.  On Friday the boys controlled their game against Great Brook from beginning to end and stayed undefeated.

In the first game last night, the boys beat Presentation of Mary to run their undefeated record to 5 and 0.  In the second game Friday, the girls turned in an amazing effort, beating Great Brook 64 to 14.  Highlighted by Skye L.'s 20 points off the bench.

The girls found similar success beating the Presentation of Mary 60 to 12, led by Lexis V. with 12 points and Mackenzie C. who added 11.
